Our orthopedic surgeons are highly specialized in the treatment of injuries and illnesses of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves. All of our orthopedic surgeons have undergone extensive training, including four years of college, four years of medical school, and five years of orthopedic residency. Four of our physicians completed an additional year of fellowship training to gain expertise areas such as joint replacement, sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and hand surgery. If you have a musculoskeletal problem, make sure you see a physician who is trained in orthopedic surgery.

Our Community

At Orthopedics of Southern Indiana, we are dedicated to the Bloomington community. Through Bloomington Hospital, our surgeons provide emergency services to patients of all financial means and provide surgical services for the Volunteers in Medicine program, helping those who are less fortunate. We believe in helping everyone…that’s just the way it should be.

Facilities

Our surgeons have full admitting and operating room privileges at Bloomington Hospital, Monroe Hospital, Southern Indiana Surgery Center and Bloomington Hospital of Orange County.

Appointment Preparation

Orthopedic specialists are in high demand. We apologize in advance if there is a waiting period for your initial consultation. We have streamlined our triage and scheduling systems to get you rapid access to our orthopedic specialists. If you have a severe injury or fracture, we make every attempt to see you the same or next day. A packet will be mailed to all new patients when a visit is scheduled; please complete the forms prior to your visit. Also, we ask that you carefully consider and write down any questions that you may have so that our surgeons can answer them during your visit.

Find Us

Orthopedics of Southern Indiana is located adjacent to Bloomington’s College Mall. 

Travel east on Third Street to Clarizz Boulevard, just east of College Mall, Target, and Kmart. Turn right onto Clarizz Boulevard and travel two blocks. Our office is on the left between Peoples State Bank and Southern Indiana Pediatrics, across the street from Macy’s.


What to expect at your visit:

Your visit will start with one of our experienced nurses who will take your medical history and vital signs. One of our surgeons will then conduct a personal interview and history. This will be followed by a physical examination and review of previous tests, imaging, and treatments. Diagnostic imaging is often required to diagnose your problem. Orthopedics of Southern Indiana has x-ray and MRI available on-site. Finally, a treatment plan will be formulated, which may include activity modification, medications, injections, physical therapy, and/or surgery. Our surgeons always allow time for your questions.
